My Resolutions Day 157

I was thinking on what exercises to add, I didn’t do any last night as I suddenly got a migraine as I sometimes do randomly. I was thinking of adding some sit ups, but I expect since that involves my back more, it’ll be harder to do for me, so I will try doing at least one tonight or tomorrow, to see if I can even do them. If I can, I’ll add 10 and work my way up like I did with the push ups. I can do 30 push ups easily now, so I might chance it to 50 either this week or next week. I’m proud of myself for eating much healthier things lately; of course, I haven’t cut out all junk food at all, I still have some fizzy drinks every so often, but it’s an occasional thing now.

I’ve decided that I need something to write by myself while I’m writing a few things with my friends. While I have a few solo projects, I always get distracted if I get a new story idea. I should just write one thing and stick to it but that is easier said than done. I could do some short stories, but I always think of ways to make them longer and into a novel. I am thinking of just writing something simple, something that won’t need much work and can be updated in its own time.

I’ve booked my doctor’s appointment, and I’m seeing him next week. I thought I might be able to get in this week, but it’s busy down there. I did manage to do several things while holding my OCD back, it was hard not to do them, I did have to stop after a while. I’ve learned to walk away and try not to think on what it was my OCD wanted me to do, despite how much my OCD wants me to think of it. I don’t always manage to do it, but this time I did.

I managed to sleep last night; I had some energy when recording the podcast, so I’m glad. The recording went well, we still haven’t got a name yet, so I expect I’ll have to go back and add in the name before I upload them all. It was about Sword Art Online, and it started strong but went downhill quickly. I have no idea if the last six episodes will be good, but I hope they will.

I have an idea for a short horror story, while I want to work on it, I have to finish other things too. I seem to be someone who works on new stories as I come up with them and don’t always finish what I was doing.

I didn’t do much but record today, so not much to report on. I will be sorting through my emails tomorrow and planning to make an upload schedule, to see when it best suits us.

I didn’t sleep last night; I had to be up early anyway due to a mistake with appointment times, so I’ve just been trying to relax. I still did my exercises as I want to form them into a habit or at least routine. I wanted to read but I’m too tired at the moment, I’ll try to read tomorrow after I’ve recorded a podcast episode and written a little with my friend.

Today wasn’t very eventful; I went through it in almost like a trance as the lack of sleep was getting to me. I signed up for a computer course, I already know pretty much everything they teach, I’m just there to take the test and get a qualification. It’s always good to get qualifications, even if you don’t plan to get a job in that qualifications field.

My Resolutions Day 154

I managed to read today for a little bit, managed my OCD a little better. I feel I can do so much more if I could manage my OCD to the point that it doesn’t get overbearing. I’m calling my doctor tomorrow to make an appointment, I expect I’ll see him sometime over the week.

I will be back to editing tomorrow morning, I hope to wake up early to get some things done. I do what I usually do when I can’t sleep, which is to do something, but the longer you go without sleep, the less you can do things like concentrate, so playing games well or writing anything good seems to be something for when I sleep well.

I plan to add more exercises tomorrow.

My Resolutions Day 153

I wrote with a friend today, we got the rough of the first chapter done. I think we’ve done well so far. I need to finish off some poems of mine. I am in that mood when I feel everything I’ve written seems bad. I’ve never had too much faith in my own work, I think I can do decent enough, but good is another thing.

I think that next week I’ll start to add more exercises. I think I’ll go to my doctor and ask if there is anything for my OCD. I doubt want to be on medication since I’m on so much, but if there’s nothing else, I will. I think there are courses which can help you manage it. I’ve done well on my own so far, but I think I’ll see if I can get some extra help.

I’m going to watch a few movies tonight and tomorrow, if I can get some sleep tonight, I will read tomorrow too.

I went with my brother and some friends to watch the new Transformers movie. It’s exactly as you’d expect, action, explosions, little character development and story.

I plan to write out another poem and read a lot more, the problem is finding time and getting over my OCD, as that can eat into time for a while.

When I get physically better I plan to work out more.

I’ve been having another barbecue with my family and friends and it’s really fun, they’re playing beer pong at the moment, I played one game so I’ll be going back down in a second.

The weather has cooled down a lot, so it’s bearable in here. I’ve been feeling sick for a while, so I haven’t done anything at the moment, just spend the last few hours lying down.

I might try to read later if I feel better. I watched John Wick again last night so I can write a review on it. I’m watching John Wick Chapter 2 after I post this. Probably going to write a review on both films and then if I still feel like crap I’ll try to sleep.

I am going to try and think of a plan to get closer to where I want for the rest of the year. Just need to feel well enough to do it, guess that is why I’m exercising though.

It’s too fucking hot. I’m sweating too much, to the point where I’d have to change t-shirts times so far because they get soaked, it’s not nice. I’ve no idea why it gets so fucking hot in here and it’s started to affect my mood, I can’t concentrate on anything, it’s harder to sleep, and it’s making me hate summer with a passion, seriously, fuck summer.

I’ve come up with a more detailed outline of my first chapter after changing something, but it’s too hot to write anything, I was thinking of writing a few movie reviews, but even watching a movie in this heat is hard.

Reading was hard enough with OCD, now the heat is making me stop every few pages, I managed to read 24 pages, but it was getting hard.

I will be playing a game of Magic with my friend soon. After I’ll be recording with my other friend, we’re doing a podcast on SAO. I’m looking to get some writing done tonight too.

I saw The Mummy 2017 yesterday, it was all right. Had its moments, but it’s what you’d expect from a summer blockbuster, lots of action, not a lot of story. It’s clear they’re setting up for a series of horror movies with the introduction of Dr. Jekyll.

I didn’t get far with my reading due to OCD and other things, but I managed to push on a few pages.

My Resolutions Day 148

Last night was really fun, after the barbecue I watched Life, the 2017 movie, which reminds me a lot about Alien, but they say it was inspired by Alien anyway. Alien is the better film. I then got invited to learn how to play Magic: The Gathering. I played it a few times back in 2004 or 2005, I’d forgotten most of the rules. I played using my old cards which I still have, I lost, I tried out my friend’s other deck as he has about seven of them, I lost but I faired a little better this time around. His friend runs a store who sells a lot of good cards, he asked if I wanted to buy a few big boxes of cards, to which I said yes. Looks like I’m getting back into Magic.

I broke my phone, no idea how that happened, just looked at it when I woke up and saw a crack down it. I’ve no idea if it affects the microphone, I’ll have to call someone. I might be getting a new phone. My current one is about 5 years old, maybe it is time for an upgrade, no idea what I’ll get.

I’m starting to get into the push ups now, I can do 30 easily and without getting too tired. I have no idea how it’ll affect my back if I try to do some sit ups, I’ll give it until the end of the week to build up some more strength.

I’m doing well when it comes to my OCD with reading. I feel I am getting better at controlling it. If I keep this up, I might be able to read a lot longer in one sitting than I usually do. Maybe by the end of the summer, I’ll improve enough to get to that point.

Since it’s once again a Monday, I’ll just like to say if any of you want to come talk with me, I’d still enjoy it greatly. Just some fun of talking about many things, whether you enjoy video games, movies, novels, writing, etc., I’m up for talking about almost anything. I think it’ll be fun to talk to my readers.

Danny’s trip to Brussels worked out well; he managed to get 25-ish Joinee’s. He now has 565 Joinee’s, so it seems that overall the trip was worth it for Join Me, but I feel sorry for Hanne as she’s trying to be with him and he keeps missing out of evenings with her. He says he forgets a lot, he knew this time he would be making a decision to not go out with her. Sometimes I wonder if the other times were not him forgetting.
